Every financial decision should reflect careful planning, responsible stewardship, and a commitment to delivering meaningful value.

Making St. Catharines the easiest municipality to work with is about creating a culture of responsiveness, efficiency, and partnership. Businesses should view City Hall as a trusted partner in their success, not an unnecessary obstacle.

St. Catharines families and businesses work hard for every dollar they earn, and City Hall should treat every tax dollar with the same respect.

I will advocate for a more efficient and effective municipal government by ensuring services deliver measurable value, eliminating unnecessary spending, and carefully reviewing new expenditures before asking residents to contribute more.

Property tax increases should remain reasonable, affordable, and, wherever possible, at or below the rate of inflation. When circumstances require increases above inflation, residents deserve a clear explanation of why the increase is necessary, what alternatives were considered, and how the additional investment will improve municipal services or address critical community needs.

Fiscal responsibility is not about spending less, it is about spending wisely. Every financial decision should reflect transparency, accountability, and respect for the people who fund municipal government.
